Bank Top: Port o' Call (5%): Roast barley flavour with port overtones. (brewery notes)
Batemans: Dark Mild (3%): A creamy mild with a fruity palate, some roast character and a hoppy finish. the hops are Goldings, Challenger and Liberty. (brewery notes)
Clark's: Traditional Bitter (3.8%): An amber coloured ale with a pleasant, smooth, fruity palate, and long lasting flavour. (brewery notes)
Cotleigh: Barn Owl (4.5%): A fine tasting premium beer, darkish in colour, with good balanced hits of both malt and hops. (DN)
Elland: Gold Award (4.4%): A premium bitter mixing five malts, with a blend of American and English hops. (brewery notes)
George Wright: Drunken Duck (3.9%):
A light citrus ale combining three hops from the Americas. (brewery
notes)
Hidden Brewery: Old Sarum (4.1%): A beautiful dark ruby beer, suprisingly hoppy, with a dry, spicy finish. Some smokiness in the taste, I think; there's heather in there, too, according to fellow drinker Keith. (DN: 13-03-08)
Organic: Lizard Point (4%): A light golden coloured bitter with hints of fruit and a dry malt finish. (brewery notes)
Pictish: Blue Moon (6%): A strong, IPA-style beer with a lingering bitter aftertaste and a massive spicy hop aroma. Originally brewed to celebrate the blue moon (second full moon in a calendar month) in November 2001. (brewery notes)
Titanic: Black Ice (4%): This sumptuous, warming beer is sufficiently well hopped to provide balance. (brewery notes)
Wylam: Northern Kite (4.5%):
A ruby ale in the style of a traditional Scotch, where the
hops are balanced by residual maltiness to give subtle hop character and
a rich palate. Brewed to celebrate the re-introduction of the Red Kite
to the North East after an absence of 170 years. (brewery notes)
