Brewer supports bid for darts Premiership

October 25, 2007: Hook Norton is sponsoring darts ace Julie Newman, a member of the Oxfordshire county darts team.

The Oxfordshire brewer hopes she will continue with her winning ways in Division 1 of the BDO Inter-Counties Championship and help the team gain promotion to the Premiership.

When Julie is not throwing arrows for
Oxfordshire, she can be found behind the bar or in the kitchen of the family pub, the Butchers Arms, at King’s Sutton, which she runs with her husband, Alan.

Julie said: “The darts season lasts from September to April and it involves a lot of travelling around the country when we play away games against other counties.

"I am very grateful for the support Hook Norton is giving me.”
