Fuller's to serve Fair Trade tea and coffee

April 25, 2007: All pubs and hotels supplied by London brewer and pub operator Fuller Smith & Turner will be serving Fair Trade tea and coffee as of May 1.

The coffee, which is organic and Rainforest Alliance certified, is available in all formats, from instant to cafetiere, so every pub will be able to stock it.

The tea, which is certified Fair Trade, is available in all formats from mainstream tea to infusion teas.

Fuller’s Inns managing director Simon Emeny said: “With increasing customer demand for us to stock Fair Trade products it seemed like the perfect time to introduce them across the whole of our estate.

"The transition has been made easier by the fact that we already had a Fair Trade supplier of tea and coffee, Matthew Algie, who we have been trading with for over three years."
