Scottish Parliament declares fees will stand
January 25, 2008: The Scottish
Beer and Pubs Association (SBPA) has expressed its disappointment
at the decision of the Scottish Parliament not to reject the Scottish
Government's Fees Regulation establishing fees under the
Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005.
This means the industry faces what the SBPA calls a "largely unnecssary increase in costs of £20 million in Scotland and by the time that has impacted on the industry it will be too late to do anything about it".
