Publican wins for Everards and Fuller's

March 21, 2008: Everards and Fuller's have triumphed The Publican Awards, announced this week.

Everards was named pub company of the year in the category for tenanted/leased companies with 20 to 199 outlets. Fuller's was pub company of the year in both managed and tenanted categories.

Simon Emeny, Fuller’s Inns managing director, said: “To win both the managed and tenanted titles is an outstanding achievement and a credit to the fantastic team of people I work with at Fuller’s.

“The pub industry is facing increasingly difficult times and winning awards like this helps to remind our teams both in the pubs and head office that we are the best at what we do — and that we need to continue to be the best.

The Judges at The Publican said: "This company is impressive in every way. It has introduced key innovations that make it stand out from the crowd. It evaluates everything it does and has a great management team"

Richard Everard added: “This award adds to what has been a successful year for Everards, with our Cyclops tasting notes now being used by 57 breweries and our website winning best use of electronic media at the Society of Independent Brewers Awards.”
