Greene King in talks with Loch Fyne

July 20, 2007: Brewer and pubco Greene King has confirmed that it is in discussions with Loch Fyne Restaurants to acquire the chain.

The deal would cover the 36 sites currently trading, and exclusive rights to use of the Loch Fyne name for future restaurant developments.

"Discussions are ongoing and, while a transaction is not guaranteed, a further announcement will be made as and when appropriate," said a company spokesman.
