Punch turns down M&B approach for Spirit pubs
April 19, 2008: Mitchells & Butlers (M&B) has had an approach to purchase Punch's Spirit pubs rejected.
Punch said the deal would not be in the best interests of its shareholders at the moment.
The deal would have been a turning of the tables as just a few weeks ago Punch was exploring a merger with M&B.
