Exceptional growth for Barracuda

September 17, 2007: Barracuda Group continues to grow with the opening of six new businesses this month, representing a multi-million pound investment.

	BARRACUDA
	Barracuda currently operates 211 pubs and bars across the UK within its five retail brands: Smith & Jones, Varsity, Juniper, Cape and Barracuda Bar.

The openings are in Inverness, Rugeley, Bebington, North Shields, Port Talbot and Southampton, and include four new acquisitions and the re-branding of two existing pubs.

The investment totals more than £4m and around 140 jobs have been created.

Chief executive Mark McQuater said: "The six new businesses in September, plus those that we opened in August, has made it an exceptionally busy time for the company and, looking ahead, we will continue to develop and expand our portfolio of brands right across the UK."
