Duke scoops Chester Food and Drink award
April 15, 2007: The Duke of Portland, at Lach Dennis, near Northwick, has been named pub of the year in the Chester Food and Drink Festival awards.
The silver award went to Stuart's Table, at the Farmers Arms, Huxley, with bronze going to The Faulkner, Charles Street, Hoole.
The awards were presented at a gala dinner at the Taste Sensation Marquee in the Castle Square, Chester, marked the climax of the festival.
