Truly Formidable Ale, judges agree

October 30, 2005: We hear so much about Cain's lager these days that one sometimes forgets that the brewery has some other fine ales in its portfolio.

Fortunately, the judges in the Booths Supermarkets and North West Fine Foods Producer of the Year competition have their eye on the ball and have voted FA (Formidable Ale) their favourite alcoholic drink in the North-West of England.

The contest was part of British Food Fortnight which also ranked a number of other great local food and drink products.

FA sells in pubs throughout the region, as well as being available in stores nationwide.
