Adnams marketing director to leave
January 29, 2008: Adnams marketing director Steve Curzon is to leave the company at the end of March after four years developing the brand.
Andy Wood, managing director of Adnams, said: "Steve has been instrumental in developing the Adnams brand, most notably in strengthening our Beer from the Coast campaign and through the development of new products, such as Adnams' Explorer, Yuletide and, most importantly, Spindrift.
"Steve has also played a central role in building an award-winning social and environmental platform, which has, in turn, enhanced Adnams' reputation. He has been a great ambassador for this business and it is with our very best wishes that Steve moves on from Adnams, leaving us well prepared for future growth."
Mr Wood will now oversee the brand.
Mr Curzon said: "Adnams is such a great brand and developing it to achieve the level of consumer recognition it now enjoys has been extremely rewarding.
"The Beer from the Coast campaign is now recognised as the one of the most well known in the industry. Taking the Adnams brand into retail through the development of Adnams' Cellar & Kitchen stores has opened up new opportunities for growth.
"It's a fantastic team across the business and I leave Adnams with great pride and sense of achievement. I will always be a fan!"
Steve Curzon joined Adnams in February 2004 as head of marketing, following senior marketing appointments at Nestle and the Lawn Tennis Association. He was appointed to the board as marketing director in 2005.
