For one week only, Golden Pride on draught
February 28, 2008: The Jugged Hare, on Vauxhall Bridge Road, London, will be serving Golden Pride on draught for one week only from Monday (March 3).
Called the "Cognac of beers", the Fuller's brew is a formidable, full-bodied beer, best savoured slowly. More commonly found in bottles, Golden Pride is rarely available in cask and the Jugged Hare will be the only pub serving it on draught.
Magda Wojtun, the pub's manager, said: The Jugged Hare is well known locally for its great range of real ales and we are delighted to offer our customers something a little bit special every now and again.
"Golden Pride is a real giant of a beer and I'm looking forward to serving it up to my customers."
John Keeling, Fullers head brewer, said: Golden Pride is a phenomenal beer, and at 8.5% ABV it is often compared to an after-dinner digestif. It can also go terrifically well with strong cheeses as the beer cuts right through the flavours, cleansing your palate between mouthfuls.
"Magda has been asking me to get her some Golden Pride on draught for ages. Now I've finally given in I'm sure her customers will make sure it doesn't go to waste."
