More recognition for Skinners
August 27, 2005: Skinners Brewery has added to its 2005 festival triumphs with success at one of the biggest events of the year.
At this weeks Peterborough CAMRA Beer Festival the Truro-based brewery won a bronze award in the speciality beers class with its Ice Blonde wheat beer, while Cornish Knocker golden ale was judged fifth overall out of more than 500 drinks at the festival.
The latest success follows Skinners achievement at the recent Great British Beer Festival at Olympia, when its Betty Stoggs was judged one of the top six best bitters in the country.
Last month Skinners Davy Jones Knocker was crowned champion beer at the first CAMRA Beer and Cider Festival to be held in Herefordshire, when it was voted best out of 72 beers.
