Double Trouble from Batemans

May 24, 2007: Batemans is re-launching its cask range of Mystic Brews. Based on the twelve signs of the zodiac, the pump clips are designed in typically humorous Bateman’s fashion with two naughty school boys denoting Gemini’s Double Trouble (May 22-June 21).

The Mystic Brews range is available to the trade through wholesaler WaverleyTBS.

Batemans is well-known for its quirky presentation on the bar — its unashamedly festive Christmas beer, Rosey Nosey, is adorned with a cotton wool beard, jingly bells and red flashing nose, and the cask and bottled version is now its best selling seasonal beer.

Marketing director Jaclyn Bateman said: “Our consumers are beginning to expect some quirkiness in our line-up on the bar and the Mystic Brews range isn’t going to disappoint. Quirkiness works as long as the beer it delivers is good. This range, like all our beers, works on both levels.”

Mystic Brews ABVs range from 3.9% (Pisces) to 4.5% (Taurus).
