Real ale outperforming lager at Wetherspoon
January 23, 2008: New figures from J D Wetherspoon show real ale is being a top performer its pubs.
Revealing sales figures for the 11 weeks to January 13, it said like-for-like sales had decreased by3.2%.
But although there had been a reduction in sales of premium lagers and spirits, there was an upturn in sales of real ale, food and coffee.
