It must be Spring!

March 22, 2007: Hidden Brewery's award-winning seasonal beer, Hidden Spring (4.5%), is about to make its annual appearance. Bronze in colour, it is brewed from a single speciality hop, Amarillo, which has only recently come in to season.

As with all its ales, the Hidden Brewery uses traditional brewing methods to create Hidden Spring, which will be cask conditioned for 10 days before being delivered to pubs and clubs in the South and South West.

Gary Lumber, brewer at the Wiltshire-based Hidden Brewery, said: "This will be the third year we have brewed Hidden Spring, and each year there is more and more demand — sales have risen by about 100% each year!

"Using traditional techniques to brew the Amarillo hops has given Hidden Spring very distinct characteristics — it has a full, fruity taste and aroma and, whilst it quenches your thirst, it also leaves a delicious lingering aftertaste in your mouth that draws you back for another pint. W'?re very pleased it's gone down so well!"

Hidden Spring won a SIBA award in the premium beer category at the South West Beer Competition 2006 and is one of 10 real ales brewed by the Hidden Brewery.

Barbara Cossins, proprietor of the Langton Arms, near Blandford, said: "All the Hidden Brewery beers fly out our door — they are always very, very popular. Hidden Spring went down exceptionally well last year and we're looking forward to getting it back at the bar."
