September 21, 2006: It does what it says on the tin - the Good Beer and Food Show, at the Yorkshire Event Centre, Harrogate, on October 14 and 15, aims to show how beer and food can work in perfect harmony.
Chefs including Brian Turner will be demonstrating tasty dishes to enjoy with beer, while experts such as Richard Fox will encourage the audience to taste different beers and foods to see what combinations can be created.
"Theres an ideal beer for all styles of food and we will demonstrate that spicy, sweet, hearty and light dishes can all be complemented with a glass of beer," said a show spokesperson.
Therell be a constant flow of great beer courtesy of regional, national, large and small breweries. Everyone will be encouraged to try whats on offer, from rich porters to light IPAs.
A full programme of events will take place in the 250-seat cookery theatre.
And a free tasting glass and programme will be handed out on entry so that everyone can enjoy the selection of beers from the fourteen breweries.
Tickets booked in advance will cost £8.50 for an adult and £7.50 for an OAP/student. On the day, tickets prices will be £10 and £7.50 respectively.
