'Ere we go: a guide to German beers
May 20, 2006: Just in time for the World Cup, CAMRA has published a guide to the beers in the host country.
Steve Thomas, author of Good Beer Guide Germany, has devoted four years to building up an intimate knowledge of more than 1,250 breweries, around 2,000 pubs and 7,500 beers from all four corners of the country.
This book is the result of my own exhaustive research into Germany and its beers that began as a simple hobby," said Steve.
"As time went by the amount of data I amassed continued to increase inexorably and I realised that fellow fans of Germany and its brewing industry would find the information extremely useful.
When I began the book I had no idea the next World Cup would be held in Germany, but any fan of football who appreciates a pure beer of almost unequalled quality will need a copy of this guide.
