Enterprise profits rise by 12.5 per cent
May 20, 2006: Enterprise Inns has reported profits before tax of £153 million for the six months to March 31, 2006. This is a rise of 12.5 per cent.
Chief executive Ted Tuppen said the company was publishing a strong set of results, achieved against a background of weak consumer spending and increasing cost and legislative pressures on licensees.
"The strength of this performance reflects our commitment to constantly improving the quality of our pub estate and to providing top quality support to our licensees in this challenging market," he said.
"The second half of the year has started well and we look forward to delivering continuing growth in shareholder value.
