Shearer tie-up with Newcastle Brown
April 20, 2006: Tyneside football hero Alan Shearer, retiring from the game at the end of this season, is to be immortalised on special edition bottles of - what else - Newcastle Brown Ale.
The star's testimonial committee have given their blessing to the deal which will see Shearer become the first celebrity to appear on the label of the iconic brew.
