Choc tactics from Batemans this Easter
February 20, 2008: Chocolate addicts and beer lovers alike will be intrigued by an Easter special from Batemans.

The brewer has come up with Eggs-B for the occasion, a chocolate brew that pays homage to its flagship ale, XB.
And to top it off, publicans will have a 100% chocolate pump clip which carries the name of the brew and the brewer in white chocolate, with the rest of the pump clip in milk chocolate.
Andrew Reed, national sales director for Batemans, said: We always try to do things a little differently at Batemans and Eggs-B is a brew we have been hatching for a little while.
"Some people have suggested that the pump clips will melt, but our own tests have proved this theory untrue. However, we believe that temptation may get the better of some publicans and for this reason we will be sending extra pump clips out with orders.
Available from Monday, this dark amber coloured bitter is brewed using a combination of Maris Otter pale ale and chocolate malts. Batemans are expecting the beer and novelty pump clips to be in great demand, particularly over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend.
l Licensees can place orders on 01754 880317 or e-mail telesales@bateman.co.uk The beer will be available through Batemans' own retail estate as well as through WaverleyTBS, National Drinks Distributors and other leading wholesalers. National operators such as Mitchells & Butler will also have Eggs-B available through the promotional period.
