Shepherd Neame tempts Swedish drinkers
January 20, 2007: Shepherd Neame has created a new beer specially for the Swedish market.
Bishops Arms House Ale is being created for Bishops Arms, Sweden's largest independent pubco. The new beer will go on sale in 24 pubs.
Shepherd Neame's export manager, Nick Harding, said: "In Sweden, ale is still a fairly new drink, ancient as it is. Bishops Arms House Ale represents an affordable luxury for Swedish drinkers, with all the premium and heritage of British beer at a reasonable price.
"We are hoping it will open their eyes to a whole new world of ale and that they will want to try other beers available in Scandinavia, such as Spitfire Premium Kentish Ale and Bishops Finger Kentish Strong Ale."
