Durham offers take-home facility
November 19, 2006: The Durham Brewery has started opening for take-home customers.
"Recent upgrades and improvements have enabled us to increase stocks of bottles and draught beers so that we can release them direct from the brewery on a larger scale," said head brewer Steve Gibbs.
Among a wide range of beer on offer will be new five-litre
minicasks currently containing Magus and White Gold. This is an authentic
draught beer in a very convenient cask with integral tap and vent. It
is exactly the same as the pub beer. Currently Magus can be ordered direct
from Durham Brewery via its
website.
"We have been lagering a continental beer for the last two months, which will be in minicasks," added Steve. "This is a genuine lager but with loads of flavour and character. Wenceslas (5.0%) will be cask conditioned in the same way as the ales."
