News and brews in brief
February 19, 2007: Cwrw Dewi Sant (4.5%) is Wye Valley Brewery's Welsh-themed seasonal for this month. Northdown and East Kent Goldings give the beer its hop flavour.
Abbeydale Brewery has launched Holy Water (6%). This is a limited edition beer and when it's gone, that's it. There's expected to be quite a demand.
The Allendale Brewery, in South West Northumberland, will be bottling its beer soon. Contact the brewery to find out more.
Archers is now offering a service whereby it will organise a mini-beer festival of up to 28 beers, including some from other brewers. Archers will supply all the equipment and set everything up. The service is only available from Birmingham northwards at the moment, but will soon be extended south. For more details call Mike on 07843 369839.
After a short winter break, Bath Ales' organic pale ale, Wild Hare, is back in production.
Vale Brewery, of Haddenham, in Buckinghamshire, is launching Vale Pale Ale, or VPA (4.2%) in March. The beer has a strong hop aroma and a dry taste.
Cairngorm's seasonal for February is White Lady (4.7%), SIBA's champion Bavarian Wheat Beer in 2004. Orange peel and coriander give this distinctive beer its flavour.
