Pint of Discovery leads to a £5,000 prize

August 17, 2006: Andrew Brennen, 35, from Chiswick, West London, has won £5,000 in the Discover a Fortune promotion run by Fullers. Andrew correctly identified the Cavern Club in Liverpool as the hypothetical hiding place for a treasure trove.

Andrew said: “Normally, a pint of Discovery costs me around £2.50 – but this one made me £4,997.50.

"It’s a great beer, and I’ve long been a fan – but funnily enough, I’m an even bigger fan now.

“It was certainly a pint in the George IV [Chiswick] that I’ll never forget.”
