Five per cent head for Samuel Smith customers

July 17, 2006: Brewer Samuel Smith's is telling its landlords that serving a pint of beer with a head of five per cent is perfectly acceptable, according to yesterday's Mail on Sunday.

The advice flies in the face of a campaign by CAMRA for a full pint of liquid, should that be what customers want.

The five per cent of head is within statutory regulations, as the local council of the Tadcaster brewery confirmed.
