Wold Gold wins top SIBA medal
January 17, 2008: Wold Top Brewerys light beer, Wold Gold (4.8%) , has won a gold medal at the Society of Independent Brewers (SIBA) North awards.

Head brewer Tony ORourke-Kilburn said: This is the second time that Wold Gold has won an award, but it's our first SIBA gold, so were really pleased.
Wold Gold is the brewerys first light beer and is brewed from a selection of Maris Otter, Wheat and Cara malts, together with Goldings and Styrian hops, to produce a beer with a soft, fruity flavour and a hint of spice.
Wold Gold is the third award-winning real ale produced by the brewery since its launch in 2003. Falling Stone, the Brewerys premium best bitter, won silver at the SIBA North Festival in 2004, and pale ale Wolds Way was judged best Yorkshire brew by Harvey Nichols and the Yorkshire Post and won a national SIBA award for its marketing, in association with the National Trail of the same name.
Wold Gold is available through the website www.woldtopbrewery.co.uk, farmers markets, farm shops, delis, hotels, pubs and off-licences throughout Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.
