Fuller's buys Millennium Dome local
January 17, 2006: Fuller's has purchased The Pilot, a landmark pub in Greenwich, right next to the Millennium Dome.
The move comes hot on the heels of the company's acquisition of Gale's at the end of last year, which added 111 pubs to the Fuller's estate.
The Pilot has been a focal point for the local community during the building of the Dome and in the years following. It was previously a free trade customer of Fuller's and when the owner decided to sell, the brewery came in with an offer.
The pub has a great reputation for good food and quality real ale, and is popular with many locals and tourists, including Charlton Athletic supporters on match days. Fuller's has no plans to change the pub.
