Take Pride - and be responsible

June 16, 2005: Fuller's is amending its beer bottle and can labels to show the number of alcoholic units the contents amount to.

A message - "Please enjoy this beer responsibly" - will also be visible on the labels, in support of an industry-wide campaign by the British Beer and Pub Association to encourage all alcohol producers and retailers to play their part in encouraging responsible drinking.

"The information on the bottles and cans will help consumers keep track of their alcohol consumption," said Fuller's beer and brands director John Roberts.

"In addition to the information on the labels, we also added the responsible drinking message at the end of our TV advertising some time ago."
