New promotion puts Discovery on the map
May 16, 2008: Fuller's has launched a new promotional kit for its chilled ale, Discovery Blonde Beer, with bespoke point-of-sale material tailored to individual pubs.

The materials feature the exact map co-ordinates of each pub with the intention that customers can discover exactly where they can find their nearest pint of Discovery.
Each pub will receive an A-board poster, four internal posters and two strut cards, all featuring the tag line 'Discover it here'. The kits are available to all Fullers managed and tenanted Discovery stockists, as well as free trade pubs.
Brands marketing manager, David Spencer, said: We are expecting to see a focus on cooler drinks again in the summer and as Discovery is only available chilled, we expect it to do very well in the coming months.
Discovery is a very well-balanced beer, which makes it more acceptable to palates than some of the very heavily hopped golden beers that are currently on the market.
"This great tasting product will help recruit new ale drinkers and the promotion using map coordinates to create a sense of adventure will provide the perfect vehicle to encourage people to give this great beer a try.
Pubs need to offer a wide range of drinks for all tastes and we identified a gap in the market in 2005 when we launched Discovery. We have continued to develop its identity and ensure the beer quality is consistently good and Discovery is now better placed than ever to fulfill the need for taste and refreshment.
We will be following this activity in May with a fantastic Discovery T-shirt promotion featuring the coordinates 51º2915.24N, 0º1456.96W, which represent the birthplace of Discovery Blonde Beer Fullers Griffin Brewery in Chiswick.
