Trust acquires Greene King shares

August 14, 2006: Senior Greene King managers Rooney Anand, Ian Bull, Justin Adams, Mark Angela and David Elliott have acquired an interest in 75,694 company shares in via Kleinwort Benson (Guernsey) Trustees Ltd.

On the same day, the trustees transferred 3,000 shares to satisfy shares awarded to employees of the group. As a result of the transfer, Rooney Anand, Ian Bull, Justin Adams, Mark Angela, and David Elliott no longer have an interest in the 3,000 shares in the company.

This brings the number of new ordinary shares in the company owned by the Greene King Employee Share Trust to a total of 690,207.
