Heineken is official beer of Chelsea

August 14, 2006: Heineken has been named as the 'official beer' of Chelsea Football club following the signing of a four-year contract.

The brand will be advertised heavily at the club, will feature in club competitions and will be on tap in the Chelsea village bars and restaurants.

Although it sponsors the Champions League, this is the first time Heineken has sponsored a major European football club.
