Sierra Nevada on draught in Ireland

May 14, 2007: Sierra Nevada Pale Ale is being served on draught for the first time in Ireland along with all of the Porterhouse Brewing Company brews in two Dublin venues — Temple Bar and Porterhouse Central.

The occasion was marked by a visit from Steve and Sierra Grossman, of the Sierra Nevada Brewing Co, brother and daughter of the founder. Also in attendance was Oliver Hughes, founder of the Porterhouse Brewing Company.

Although an ocean apart, both breweries were set up with the same ideas and principles, building from humble beginnings.

Steve Holt, managing director of Vertical Drinks Ltd and exclusive importer and marketer of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, said: “We have been supplying Sierra Nevada Pale Ale on draught in London’s wonderful Porterhouse pub, which is dedicated to supplying visitors with the delights of Dublin’s Porterhouse Brewery, and we wanted to export to Ireland through PBC as we knew they would know how to look after our beer properly.

"We are absolutely delighted to reach Irish consumers through these two highly respected and popular Dublin bars.”
