Fullers acquires Mitchells & Butlers pubs
January 14, 2005: Fullers has completed the purchase of four pubs from Mitchells & Butlers.
The acquisitions are the Antelope, in London SW1, the Harrow, EC4, the Viaduct, EC1, and the Old Hatchet, Winkfield, Berkshire.
The pubs will, in time, undergo sympathetic refurbishments, but only after a period of getting to fully understand the pub's locale and its customers, say Fullers.
Retail director Simon Emeny said: "Fuller's is always on the lookout for quality pubs at the right price. Therefore, when we commit to buying a pub, you can be sure that it is a great one and will be a valuable addition to our estate.
"We aim to run the best pubs in the areas in which we operate and look forward to welcoming all of these pubs' regulars into the Fuller's family."
