New look for CAMRA website
April 13, 2006: The Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) has revamped its website to provide more focus for its campaign.
The new site has a clearer layout than its predecessor and better signposting for sections like news and beer festival dates.
But the campaigning issues will be at the forefront; for instance, those wishing to back CAMRA's stance on beer duty can e-mail Chancellor Gordon Brown direct from the site.
We wanted to make it clear what CAMRA stands for, and that we campaign for quality real ale, good pubs and consumer rights in relation to the drink's industry.
We hope that visitors to our site will be able to gain more of an understanding of why our 80,000 members feel real ale is superior to other beers.
The site also includes details on joining CAMRA and different ways in which people can get involved with us, whether it's by visiting a beer festival, signing an online petition or joining other members in surveying pubs for the annual Good Beer Guide.
To mark the launch of the new site, a prize draw for ten pairs of tickets to the Great British Beer Festival at Earl's Court is available to visitors who fill in the online feedback form. Winners will be notified by the end of June.
