Beer Academy course book launched

March 13, 2005: The Beer Academy has launched its first course book which will be sent to all those booking a place on its one-day foundation course.

The book follows the format of the course with 120 colour pages of information on subjects such as beer and food, beer and health, beer styles and the art of tasting beer.

It also includes the Beer Academy colour brochure and a tasting notebook for impressions of the nine beers and the four beer-and-food combinations featured on the course.

The Beer Academy's chief executive, Dr George Philliskirk, said: "The new course book gives a clear view of the quality of the information we provide on our courses and its format will allow us to add further information in the pockets on subjects such as beer books, beer websites, CAMRA etc.

"At £95 a head, our Foundation course offers students not just a colourful and inspirational demonstration of beer but also a beer and food matching session at lunchtime and a really good compendium of knowledge to take back home."
