Promotional push for Hong Kong beer

January 13, 2007: Sun Lik Beer, the Hong Kong classic now in one in three of the nation's Chinese restaurants, is extending its appeal with a new look and website.

The beer, brewed in the UK by Shepherd Neame, launched its new look in the summer with an illuminated brushed aluminium draught dispense head.

With year-on-year sales up seven per cent, the beer is breaking out from the traditional Chinese restaurant market and into gastropubs and contemporary pan-Asian bars.

Brand manager Ollie Scott said: "The relaunch has been well received by existing customers and Sun Lik is also appealing to outlets with an oriental beer portfolio — it sits particularly well with other leading Asian beers such as Asahi Super Dry."

The new-look website has already gone live at www.sunlikbeer.com. New features include a Dim Sum restaurant guide and details of a Sun Lik promotional offer for Chinese New Year.
