Brakspear 12 pack is launched for Christmas

November 12, 2007: The first ever Brakspear 12 Pack is being launched in Majestic Wine Warehouses this month. It will feature three bottles each of four Brakspear brews, each with its own special character.

Brakspear Bitter (3.4%) is a subtle, complex, quintessentially English beer, a sensuous, moreish brew designed to nuzzle up against a creamy chicken pie or ploughman’s lunch. It was voted one of the world's 50 best beers in this year's International Beer Challenge.

Brakspear EPA (4.2%) is a new, pale coloured, highly-hopped English pale ale, bristling with refreshing citrus flavours and perfect with pates and terrines.

Brakspear Oxford Gold (4.6%) is an organic ale with a fuller, sweeter body and with ripe fruit flavours to complement barbecue foods, steak or rich stews.

Brakspear Triple (7.2%) is a traditional old ale, with a modern edge, brimming with plum pudding and raisin flavours — ideally matched to blue cheeses.

Rupert Thompson, managing director of Wychwood Brewery, which produces the Brakspear beers using the original Brakspear plant, said: “This attractively presented case will provide the perfect offering for any beer loving household. It incorporates four wildly differing styles of beer all brewed using Brakspear’s special yeast. There will be a beer there for any occasion.”
