Everards contributes to college development

July 12, 2007: Everards Brewery has made a donation to a Leicestershire college to help transform it into a business and enterprise college.

The brewery and the Everard Foundation — the Everard family charitable trust — contributed £39,500 of the £50,000 private sponsorship money needed to fund the changes at Riverside Business and Enterprise College.

The school, which changed its name from Riverside Community College in September 2006, will use the money to convert two rooms into IT suites containing state of the art computers and furniture.

Richard Everard, chairman of Everard’s Brewery, said: “We have had a long standing relationship with Riverside College and we are very pleased that we can have an input into the future development and training of its students.”
