InBev launches bid for Anheuser-Busch
June 12, 2008: InBev has made a $46 billion bid for American brewer Anheuser-Busch, which makes the world famous Budweiser beer.
The offer equates to $65 a share, 18% above the company's highest ever share price, achieved in 2002.
Anheuser-Busch has commented only to say that it would give the offer consideration.
