Search for Cask Ale Pub of the Year

June 12, 2006: Trade paper The Publican is teaming up with brewer Greene King in a quest for 2006 Cask Ale Pub of the Year.

Being run under the paper's Proud of Pubs campaign the competition will single out a licensee who goes well beyond the call of duty to serve the perfect pint.

They will, naturally, need to be proficient in cellar management, but also be able to enthuse their staff - and, by logical extension, their customers - about cask ale too.

A presentation will be made to the winner at the Publican conference in November. Further details are on the Publican's website.
