The title is awarded once a month to the pub that receives the best online customer reviews for its London Pride. The site provides Pride drinkers with a forum in which to register details of when and where they recently sampled the beer and asks them to rate what they drank.
Managing director of Fullers Inns, Simon Emeny, said: Fullers has a very loyal fan base and we are looking for them to become ambassadors for Pride wherever it is found. The Star is a fantastic, traditional Fuller's pub, located just minutes from Buckingham Palace, where managers Karen and Jason Tinklin offer outstanding cask ales, delicious food, great wines and exemplary service. The Star is well worth a visit and I strongly recommend you pop in for a pint or two."
Manageress of the Star, Karen, said: I am really proud that we have earned the star performer title. Looking after our beer is a top priority and I am delighted that our customers have rated it so highly.
Husband Jason said: I am chuffed to hear that our customers think so much of us and our beers. Our team at the Star work hard to ensure that every pint they serve is in tip top condition and it really is fantastic to hear that this has been recognised by our guests.
