Hook Norton Haymaker like 'dancing sunshine'

June 10, 2007: Hook Norton reckons it has created a classic British summer beer with its Haymaker (5%), on sale in draught form during July and August.

Haymaker is a clear, golden, summer ale, with a refreshing aroma and taste. Brewed from a blend of Maris Otter Pale Ale and Cara Pils malts and a mix of Fuggles, Goldings and Challenger hops, you can, says Hook Norton, scent the summer’s corn on the nose.

Hook Norton managing Director James Clarke said Haymaker tastes like "sunshine dancing on the tongue".

He added: "When poured it has a tantalising effervescence and a wonderful taste. The quality and depth of its taste made it an ideal accompaniment to food."
