Rosey Nosey: don't look at it, drink it!

October 8, 2007: You know Christmas is approaching when Batemans announces that Rosey Nosey is on its way back.

The unashamedly festive beer has an eye-catching pump clip adorned with a cotton wool bear, jingly bells and red flashing nose. Rich tasting, it has plenty of roast malt character and generous hop flavour.

Rosey Nosey sales have doubled year on year through most retailers, making it the most popular Christmas beer in its category. Cask and bottle both are 4.9% ABV.

“A winter beer needn’t have to be over 6%,” according to Stuart Bateman. “We don’t want people to collect these and buy them as a gift. It’s a very drinkable beer designed for Christmas parties and we want people to drink it, not look at it! “

Also appearing this winter is Batemans Salem Porter in cask. The 4.7% brew has a dry roast, nutty palate and rich malty aftertaste.

Batemans’ bottled Rosey Nosey will be available from mid-October through to Christmas nationally from Co-op and Morrisons, and regionally in the East Midlands from Tesco, Budgens, Londis and Spar. Cask Rosey Nosey will be available nationally through wholesalers and pubcos, as well as Batemans' own retail estate.
