Alton beer festival cheques presented

August 8, 2005: Cheques totalling £4,595 have been presented following the Alton summer beer festival.

This was a record sum from a sell-out event, with Alton's festivals getting more popular each time.

The recipients of cash were: Alton Community Centre, £700; Impact, £700; Dream Flight, £600; Bushy Lease School, £450; Rehab, £300; Whitedown School, £300; SUDEP, £300; Treloars Textiles (sewing machine), £300; Alton Counselling Service, £300; Wessex Cancer Trust, £300; Neil Woodruffe, £200;
and Social Services, £145.
