Blisland wins Cornwall pub of the year
May 7, 2005: The Blisland Inn, on Bodmin Moor, has been named Cornwall CAMRA pub of the year for the fourth time.
The City Inn, Truro, and Star Inn, Crowlas, were equal second.
The winner was decided this year by a poll of Cornwall CAMRA members.
"Congratulations to Gary and Margaret Marshall
for hitting the spot once
again, and I'm sure we all wish them well in the next round to find the
South West regional pub of the year," said Cornwall CAMRA chairman
Rod Davis.
The Blisland has always been a keen supporter of CAMRA's Wild for Mild campaign, which runs throughout May, and this year is no exception, with a number of examples of the style in the pub throughout the month.
