June 6, 2007: Cornish superhero Kernowman is soaring higher than ever after having a beer named after him.

Skinner's, of Truro, Cornwall, has produced Cornish Hero (4.2%) to celebrate the good deeds of the Westcountry character and will be launching the beer at the this week's Royal Cornwall Show.

The local champion regularly visits Skinner’s brewery for ‘meetings’ and cannot wait to sample the ale at the show.

“I’ve bin lookin’ forward to tryin’ the new ale for months now — it’s gonna be a beauty!” said Kernowman.

Skinner’s sales manager Andy Hawken said: “We’re excited about the prospect of being united with the Cornish Superhero, promoting what’s best in Cornwall.”

'Kernow' is Cornish for 'Cornwall'.
