Hythe pub re-opens with new look
October 5, 2005: The Britannia Inn, Hythe, Kent - a Shepherd Neame house - has re-opened after a major refurbishment.
Licensee Christine Hooper said people had been very complimentary about the changes, which have included a new restaurant area, and the addition of a patio area.
"Our new space and facilities means we can hold more community events - in fact we've already got lots planned," she added.
During the re-opening Sarah Hill accepted a cheque for £200 on behalf of the Parkinson's Society from Shepherd Neame chairman Robert Neame, Christine and colicensee Gary Cooper. Sarah is a local resident and customer whose 11-year-old son Alex has Parkinson's disease.
