Bateman's joins Tesco in local produce push
September 4, 2007: Batemans, of Lincolnshire, has benefited from Tesco's new initiative to increase its sourcing of locally-produced products in the East of England.

From November 2007, 30 Tesco stores in the region will carry Batemans' core range, as well as its seasonal ales on rotation.
Sam Nundy, senior buying manager for Tesco East of England, said: "I was born and bred in Boston, Lincolnshire, and am delighted to be able to support my home town brewery.
"Batemans has always produced quality ales and its flagship brand XXXB has sold well with us for several years.
"We believe that our customers increasingly like to support local producers and we are confident that stocking Batemans' expanded range will prove to be a popular decision."
Batemans plans to support the initiative by ensuring that store managers are informed about the full range on offer. A facility trip to the brewery and tutored tastings will be scheduled.
Jaclyn Bateman, marketing director at the brewery, said: "We are delighted that Tesco is supporting us and profiling our beer range in this way. It is a fantastic opportunity to introduce consumers to new Batemans beers that, until now, they may not have had the opportunity to sample."
