Caledonian website prepares for Rebus 20 beer
May 4, 2007: Caledonian Brewery has created a website to mark the creation of its special beer celebrating 20 years of Ian Rankin's fictional detective, Inspector Rebus.
The Edinburgh-based detective first hit the bookshelves in 1987, in the thriller Knots and Crosses, and his subsequent cases have regularly hit the top of the bestseller lists.
The commemorative beer will be launched in August, to coincide with the Edinburgh International Book Festival, but Rebus and real ale fans can prepare now by logging on to www.caledonian-brewery.co.uk/rebus/rebus.php
The site includes information about both Deuchars and Rebus, and an interview with Ian Rankin.
